THE GOAL OF THIS COURSE

To walk you through the steps that will give your e-commerce shop a strong foundation and will help you to avoid the major pitfalls that we see come up over and over again.

If you’re wanting to launch an e-commerce shop/website this course is for you! We realized the need for this course after multiple e-commerce clients were coming to us for help. They all had similar issues and we realized that so many of the problems they were facing could have been avoided if they had built their shops with a solid foundation.

That is the goal of this course. To walk you through the steps that will give your e-commerce shop a strong foundation and will help you to avoid major pitfalls that we see come up over and over again.

You got this friend and we’re going to walk you through each step of the laying that strong foundation. Let’s get after it!

The BIGGEST issue we see OVER and OVER again is the lack of CLARITY.

This is by far one of the biggest issues we see over and over again. A lack of clarity when people are setting up their shop. A lot of people jump right in and set up their shops without first thinking about WHO they want to sell to and what type of EXPERIENCE they want their customers to have when they buy from them.

For some of you this might sound elementary, but we see these two questions missed over and over again and the result is a shop that feels generic and is totally lacking in any kind of experience. What happens then? The short answer: no or low sales. And low sales mean no growth which means the shop doesn’t survive.

IT’S LIKE

There is a restaurant we LOVE to go to for date nights. It’s incredible. As soon as you walk through the doors you feel like you’ve been transported to a gorgeous European café in the 1970s. The ambiance of the restraint transports you to another country and a different era. Every detail has been meticulously designed and planed with a specific purpose. Then the food is out of this world. The staff is crazy knowledgeable and trained to a level that is almost unbelievable in the day in age we live in where the lack of curtesy, excellence and manors are seemingly acceptable almost everywhere.

Because of this experience, and the level of excellence, we have no problem paying a few hundred dollars for a dinner for two people.

Now, do you think this restaurant owner just winged it as he launched this restaurant? Heck, the freak NO!! We talked to multiple people who worked there and almost everything there had been specially ordered from somewhere that was the best as whatever that item was. Even the butter for the bread was imported from France, from a small town that is known for the best butter in the world.

Now that’s attention to detail.

This owner was extremely specific about the experience he wanted to provide for everyone who dined at his restaurant. And the results of the attention to detail is a packed restaurant with people willing to pay top dollar for the experience.

ON THE FLIP SIDE

Now imagine walking into a restaurant with one of those flashing OPEN signs on the door, sticky floors and tables, stained menus, old faded pictures on the walls, dusty fans, mismatched furniture…. What kind of experience does a restaurant like that create? Not a good one, and not one that can charge top dollar, or that will be packed every night!!

Another example are the chain restaurants, they might be cleaner, and have decent food, but they are lacking in the experience, that feeling of inspiration when you walk through the doors. They have a clean generic look. Now that’s better than dirty and sloppy, but it’s still not the kind of experience an excellence that will get you to the level of charging the high-end prices.

So, what do restaurants have to do with e-commerce? The best e-commerce shops are the ones who are meticulous about the shopping experience and the feeling their customers have when they buy from them.

It’s everything from the shop itself to the packaging the emails and marketing. Now to nail the experience you have to have CLARITY!! You have to know WHO your buyer is, your IDEAL buyer, and be specific. Then you have to know the experience you want to create. That is where it all starts!

If you don’t take the time to get clarity then there is NO way you will be able to design your brand, your shop, your buyer’s experience in a way that will inspire them, and wow them to the point of being lifelong loyal customers and ones that will rave about your products to everyone they know.

Without clarity and a commitment to excellence your shop will fall into the deadly generic zone, the zone that is constantly at price wars with everyone else. You don’t want your product to end up in the deadly generic zone!! It will be the death of your shop!

FAILURE ISN’T FINAL. GET BACK UP AND KEEP GOING.

ACTION STEPS

Block out 30 minutes this week to get CLARITY. Brain dump specifics on WHO your IDEAL customer is. Be SPECIFIC. Most people are afraid to be specific because they think they want to attract everyone. DO NOT fall for that lie, it’s the BIGGEST pitfall there is!!! What is the goal of the generic brands, to attract everyone!! What is the goal of the excellent brands that are the leaders in their industry? They know EXACTLY who their ideal customer is and they market ONLY to those people!

So, get CLARITY on your WHO and the EXPERIENCE you want your customers to have. That is the first brick in laying a rock-solid foundation for a successful e-commerce shop.
